Directions for use: Follow the instructions on the packaging.

The first number corresponds to the base colour and indicates how light or dark the hair colour is:

1.0 = black
5.0 = light brown
6.0 = dark blonde
7.0 = blonde
10 = lightest blonde.The second number in the system comes after the decimal point.
.1 = Blue
.2 = Violet
.3 = Yellow
.4 = Copper
.5 = Mahogany
.6 = Red
.7 = Green
.8 = Mocha.E.g.: 2.7 corresponds to a dark brown with green reflections, and a 9.2 a blonde with yellow reflections. This system allows the colourist to neutralise the hair colour: to prevent a blonde hair colour from becoming too warm, they can add more .2 - Violet or .1 - Blue to neutralise yellow and orange tones.
